The main question asked is 'How does it work?' for there are no pedals and hardly any moving parts. This great sit on ride works by the simple swinging of the handle bars, so children pick it up in seconds. With the child sitting only a few centimetres off the floor it gives a real sensation of speed whilst being extremely safe and if used correctly it is a robust piece of equipment which should provide years of use in almost any environment.
Whilst we do sell to the general public our main customers are commercial organisations that want the product to last. Whilst there are cheaper versions the model we supply is the top of the range Roller Racer 5000a, which has many features to provide additional strength. You can see them in our Gallery. WHERE THEY CAN BE USED?
The Roller racer can be found in amusement parks, play areas and farm attractions (or any other type of attraction) and even in shopping centres. In addition it is becoming increasingly popular in holiday clubs and schools, where it is used an entertaining means of providing the children with exercise. It is so manoeuvrable that it can operate in the smallest of spaces and you can either have a track (minimum 1.2m wide to allow for passing) or an open space of ideally no less that 5m x 2m, which can take four or five units.
SUITABLE SERFACES
The smoother the surface the better, so school halls and shopping malls have the perfect surface. It can however also be used on any reasonable smooth and hard surface such as concrete or tarmac. Unfortunately they don't work well on carpet. The surface will also need to be fairly level, as they don't like inclines, although the kids love going down them!
